On the job
- Conduct ward rounds, assess patients, and document clinical findings and treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, and ECGs
- Administer medications, perform minor procedures, and assist in surgical operations
- Communicate with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment, and prognosis
- Present patient cases to registrars and consultants, participating in clinical discussions and learning
