Privacy Policy

Overview

Traitstack ("we", "us", "our") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information. We follow GDPR and applicable data protection law.

The short version: we collect what we need to run the platform, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.

What we collect

• Account data — email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Assessment responses — your answers to personality and interest questions. These are used to calculate your scores and generate your report.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and basic device/browser information via Google Analytics. This is anonymised and aggregated.
• Payment data — payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We receive a transaction record only.

How we use your data

• To create and maintain your account
• To generate your personality and interest reports
• To process payments (via Stripe)
• To improve the platform based on anonymised usage patterns
• To contact you about your account (e.g. password reset, important updates)

We do not use your assessment results for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform via Firebase and Firestore, hosted in secure, GDPR-compliant data centres. We use Firebase Authentication for account management, Firestore security rules to restrict data access, HTTPS encryption in transit, and server-side validation on all operations.

Organisation admins can access the assessment results of members in their organisation — this is disclosed to members before they join an organisation workspace.

Your rights

• Access — you can view your data in your account dashboard at any time.
• Deletion — you can delete your account and all associated data from your account settings. Deletion is permanent and processed within 30 days.
• Portability — contact us to request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Correction — contact us if you believe any data we hold about you is incorrect.

Cookies

We use cookies for session management (essential) and analytics (Google Analytics). Analytics cookies are anonymised. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics
• Stripe — payment processing
• Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) — authentication, database, hosting
