Mixes mortar, reads blueprints, and uses levels and plumb lines to achieve precise alignment on every course. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong understanding of construction techniques to create durable and aesthetically pleasing structures.

Contributes to the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of buildings and infrastructure, ensuring safe, durable, and visually pleasing construction projects that stand the test of time.

On the job

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones in mortar to construct or repair walls, foundations, and other structures.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine materials required and dimensions of structure.
Mix mortar and grout to specified consistency, ensuring proper adhesion and strength.
Cut or trim bricks and blocks to size using hand and power tools.
Check vertical and horizontal alignment of courses using plumb bobs, levels, and straightedges.
