On the job

  • Conduct daily inspections of runways, taxiways, and aprons for foreign object debris (FOD), pavement damage, and wildlife hazards.
  • Monitor and report on the status of airfield lighting systems, signage, and navigational aids.
  • Communicate critical airfield information and hazards to air traffic control (ATC), pilots, and airport management.
  • Respond to and manage airfield incidents, such as aircraft emergencies, spills, or disabled aircraft.
  • Document all inspection findings, incidents, and corrective actions in detailed reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
