On the job

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to plan pipe installations
  • Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes of various materials (copper, steel, PVC) to exact specifications
  • Install and connect large-scale mechanical equipment such as chillers, boilers, pumps, and air handling units
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair complex pipe systems and related components
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations during all stages of work
